For one, I don't like "parties", and I have very few local friends anyway.
However, if anyone wanted to visit, listen to music/play video games/arcade games/pool/board games/just hang out/watch movies/whatever... they'd be welcome to. :P
So, that wouldn't be ok if your parents were still home?
Well, I guess the staying-up-until-4am part wouldn't work, but otherwise, unless you were having a party, it doesn't look like this is a "Whoo!" situation.
Well, during a weekend... if they weren't taking naps... sure, it would.
But yeah, that's the difference... normally I stay up to all hours of the night myself, but when they're not here, we can keep music on, TVs on, etc whenever we want without being told to turn them down to a whisper. :P It's the ability to do anything we want at any time we want... even if we don't make use of it. :P
